500 kilometres between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. The worst winds and flooding the Isle of Wight has seen for decades, and the fewest daylight hours to ride in...

Sheet ice stopped play this morning and we called an abort on the 200+ Kilometre ride planned over to the New Forest. Instead we drove home, hung up the skinny tyres and brought out the mountain bikes to go and rack in some muddy miles...
