Review: Après Vélo AV Performance Cycle Kit

Image
I seem to have developed a love for loud kit. It is a strange development; because I'm not a loud person; far more a guy that wears a blue shirt, than one who wears a Hawaiian flower-splash one! The new-found interest has led me to look for new and interesting designs though; and it wasn't long before I eyed up the new AV Performance range, from Australian brand Après Vélo. Après Vélo are probably better known to blog readers as a casual clothing brand; as it is their tees that I have previously reviewed here on the blog . The new AV Performance range, is the brand's diversification into on-the-bike wear though; and it is as loud, and as interesting, as some of their great cycling inspired t-shirts! AV Performance Short Sleeve Jersey First up, the race-cut Performance Jersey, from Après Vélo. This is a short sleeve, full-length zipper, modern fast-dry fabric cycling jersey. The fit is great, and much like other Italian made jerseys. The fabric is robust, yet br...

Photo Blog: Après Vélo Summer Tees 2015

Image
Summer might have finally arrived in the UK *fingers crossed*, and with it comes the season of tees and polos. There aren't many better feelings than kicking back after a long ride, with your favourite t-shirt on, and soaking up the summer sun. Hopefully, that tee is something that subtly brands you as a cyclist, too... after all, we're all proud to be bike riders. That said, rocking up to your mate's summer BBQ with the same cycling tee as three other people isn't so cool, and there aren't that many casual cycling brands in the UK. Solution? Look to an Australian brand! Après Vélo have featured on the blog before, when I've profiled some of their great cotton tees. They are constantly coming up with new designs though, and sent me a few of their latest prints. I thought they were definitely worth sharing! Check them out... Review: Après Vélo Tees

Image
A few months back, I introduced the Australian brand Après Vélo to the blog ( Link ), and mentioned their cool and quirky approach to cycling casual wear. The TDF themed tee that I reviewed in this original piece fast became one of my favourites, and so when the Aussie company brought out a few new items last month, it seemed like a great idea to showcase them on the blog. There's not a whole lot to say about the tees themselves; other than they are very good quality, 100 percent cotton, they fit well and they last for months with continued washing and wear. I thought the best way to show how nice this casual kit is, with its multitude of designs, is with some photos... Après Vélo 'Living The Dream' Après Vélo 'The Original Search Engine' Après Vélo 'Harden The F**k Up' 'HTFU Cement Mix' There's no doubting the quality of the Après Vélo tees View the Après Vélo range at Apresvelo.com (Link)

Review: Après Vélo Casual Apparel

Image
The name of this blog gives an indication of what cycling culture is about; 'Life In The Saddle' is not just enjoying the culture of cycling whilst you're on the bike, but also when you are away from the bike, in a casual environment. Part of that culture is the clothes you wear, the coffee you drink and the places you visit. Après Vélo is all about the first of these; providing cycling casual wear that identifies and shows you as a cyclist in a cool and comfortable way. The Australian brand produces a wide range of casual tees, as well as hoodies and some select riding apparel. All of the range has a classic and unique style; kit that will make you stand out, whilst also being comfortable and well made. In this review I take a look at the Le Tournesol tee: a new top that is made to commemorate this year's version of Le Tour. The tee features a collage of the roads that the riders face on this year's edition of the race; cobbled roads, fields of sunflowe...
