The Kona Rove Ti frame is kitted out with a Kinesis ATR Disc Fork, USE 29er Carbon MTB Wheels, and a lightweight rear pannier rack. Luggage comes in the form of the Arkel Orca 25 Panniers, a Restrap Framebag, and Restrap Bar Bag. To finish the build, there are a variety of accessories from Lezyne, Wahoo, Bar Fly and USE Exposure Lights.

The Roving Machine

The rear rack holds two panniers, a make-shift frame-top bag, and a spare tyre

Tools and spares stored in the Lezyne Caddy

Food and supplies stashed in the Restrap Framebag (Small size)

Cockpit set-up: USE Summit Alloy Bars, Wahoo ELEMNT, USE Exposure Six Pack, USE Trace

Clement Strada USH Tubeless Tyres

The Arkel Orca 25 Panniers house my clothing and camping equipment

Two Lezyne waterbottle cages, with a Lezyne Road Drive pump

The Restrap Handlebar Bag houses my Nordisk tent and casual clothing

The Fabric Scoop saddle may be changed before the trip, but is on the build at the moment

The Gerber Suspension Multitool sits neatly above the Restrap Framebag

A short 80mm USE Race stem provides a more relaxed riding position

The Kinesis ATR Disc Fork provides a stiff and strong front end

USE Carbon 29er MTB wheels should provide lightweight strength

The Bar Fly DRT Front Mudguard for a little spray protection

A 40T front chainring with an 11-42 cassette will be my mountain gearing

Finishing touches like the Supacaz bar tape help to add comfort and style

A bike capable of going the distance. Let us go a Roving!

  1. Very nice set up. I have the same frame and plane to tour with it this spring. I did a 100 gravel Fondo and it really shinned.
    Cheers
